Jasmine Catlin-Lyon is currently an assistant in the beginner
Agility Classes.
She began showing dogs, her mothers Rottweilers, in the conformation ring
at the age of 5. She put her first obedience title on a dog, a
Samoyed, at the age of 14. She has put American and Canadian
obedience and conformation titles on numerous dogs since then.
Jamine's "new" love is
agility. She actually began competing in 1995. She started
with her Boxer, A/C CH, Lalyn's Highlite of Cherkei, A/C CD, AX, AXJ aka
Patty. Jasmine was in the first agility class Anne ever taught.
Past Owner of a variety of breeds
including Rottweilers, Schipperkes, Samoyed and Boxers, her life now has
turned mostly to Border Collies. She was introduced to the breed by
her husband and over the last 7 years, they have become her way of
life. Jasmine is actively involved in the local Border Collie rescue
organization.
Jasmine has dedicated all of her
time to benefit animals. Not only does she own, train and show dogs,
she has worked in the veterinary industry for 16 years and is a certified
veterinary hospital administrator for Bells Ferry Veterinary Hospital in
Woodstock.
Her current household
includes: Zack, Border Collie, 15 years, Emma, MX, MXJ, Border
Collie, 8 years, Eldemar Legend (Ian), MX, MXJ, HSB's, HXA's, Border
Collie, 5 years, CH Spirit Valley's Monster Mash (Radar), OA, AXJ, Parsons
Russell Terrier, 2 years, and Rose, Rescue Border Collie, 3 years.
